Kalpana heads the organisation and is involved in designing projects and creating partnerships, both government and civil society. She also represents the organisation at many international forums. She writes regularly and has a weekly column in Hindustan Times on urban issues. She has worked on issues of gender and urbanisation for over 20 years with several organisations including UN Women, UN Habitat and Jagori among others, has led large global projects and provided technical support on women’s safety to several cities. She is a member of the Advisory Group on Gender Issues at UN Habitat, Chairperson of Jagori and a Board member of the International Centre for the Prevention of Crime. She was part of the committee that prepared a report on Women’s Safety in Delhi for the city government.
Ashish provides technology and operations direction to Safetipin. He is an alumni of IIT Mumbai and IIM Bangalore. He is an advocate and student of using technology to disrupt markets, and has more than 30 years of experience. After a long stint at NIIT as President, he has founded and led several edtech startups.
As an Architect- Urban Planner, Sonali works on data analysis, representation, and is involved in developing design and policy level recommendations for making public spaces safer for one and all. She also manages partner relationships, project campaign and documentation. She did her graduation from Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur and post- graduation from CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Prior to Safetipin she worked with IRADe (Integrated Research and Action for Development) on climate resilient strategies for smart cities.
Priyanka is responsible for all HR and operations related activities. She handles th recruitment and HR functions in the organisation. She is also responsible for the management and budgeting of all projects. She completed her Graduation and Post-Graduation (MBA) from Institute of Management Studies, Kurukshetra University. She worked with Craft Traditions for 3.5 years before joining Safetipin.
Avesh Chauhan is the SafetiPin Technology manager responsible for guiding product strategy and launching initial prototype build-outs in SafetiPin. Additionally, he manages operations and marketing activities.
He specialises in product development of Location Based services and mobile apps and is passionate about delightful user experiences with massive impact on business metrics. He has skills in mobile app development, LBS solutions,Spatial analytics, GIS/MAP based solutions,App Store Optimization and data analytics. He has previously worked for Imate( Mobile firm) and MapmyIndia and has been part of team in introducing and launching Navigation,M2M and Telematic solutions in India.
Rwitee works as a data analyst to look at how gender and the built environment intersect in creating inequalities in public spaces. She guides the team at Safetipin with content development, data representation and intervention recommendations. Being an Architect and Urban Designer from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, her primary expertise lies on the subject of ‘gender and space’ and she has worked in varied capacities with women centric organisations and urban design practices in India. Currently, she is also a visiting faculty at her alma mater at the Post Graduate Urban Design Programme.
Nandini Bhardwaj is working on the next iteration of products at Safetipin. She brings to this experience leading technology products at Digital Green and software development experience at Microsoft and Adobe. She earned her MBA at INSEAD, Masters in Computer Science at Columbia University, and Bachelors at NSIT, Delhi. She aspires to create impact at scale through the confluence of design and technology.
She primarily works on data analysis, data representation and documentation for various projects at Safetipin. She also assists in data collection by collaborating with other organizations and conducting training sessions. She is an Architect-Urban Planner and has completed her masters in Urban and Regional Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Prior to her masters, she has worked with L&T Constructions for over three years and at an architectural firm "Fourth Dimension " for about 9 months.
Shreya is a part of the program team at Safetipin. She handles the different social media accounts for the company and works on media partnerships with external agencies. She is also overseeing the product specific technology and development work. She completed her BE in Telecommunication Engineering from R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore. She worked with Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for 1.5 years before joining Safetipin.
Rubia manages the different applications in Safetipin. She is in charge of training the programmers’ and managing their quality of work. She handles work related to the back-end services. Rubia done her MBA in Operations and B.tech in ECE. Earlier Rubia worked with Eccentric Info Tech Pvt Ltd, as an Assistant Operations Manager and had an extensive experience of four year in different domains.
Gaurav has 2 and a half years of experience in working on digitizing, creating and maintaining the GIS databases. He works at the intersection of data analysis, programming and cartography. His primary duties include analysing spatial data through mapping software and designing digital maps with geographic data and various other data sets. Gaurav has done B.Tech in (I.T) from M.D.U.
Toshi is a part of the operation team and works on quality assessment & analysis of data. She delivers training sessions for coders, interns and new joinees and coordinates with other team members on all aspects of data management. She has done Bachelor in Science from Chatrapati Sahuji Maharaj University.
